Good Morning America Jackson, WY
ABC this Sunday, February 7th
2010 has started out pretty great for the SCS crew!! First, New Years Eve in Boston with the Red Bull/SCS Sledstyle program and Heath Frisby killing it with his first ever ruler flip to snow!!
Then, we got a call from our good friend Jordan Miller at Red Bull and he asked SCS to organize and handle a unique project involving SCS, Red Bull and Good Morning America. The project was to showcase Red Bull athletes, Heath Frisby and Levi LaVallee in a backcountry snowmobiling segment to be aired on ABC.
We decided to contact Togwotee Mountain Lodge which is north of Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Togwotee Mountain Lodge was very accommodating to our requests and needs. From lodging, sled rentals, good food, great service and safety, it was as turn key as it gets.
Heath, Levi and the all the crew arrived safely and very excited about this project. The day could not have been more perfect for riding, filming and photos. It was completely bluebird with no wind. We guided the entire crew up to an area that had some excellent natural terrain features and from there the guys just went to town. Levi began the day by hitting a massive natural jump and throwing some huge whips. For such a little guy he can surely manhandle his sled and it shows in his abilities! Heath also tackled some expert terrain as well and definitely showcased his talent in the backcountry by riding some unique lines in the powder. Both guys worked great together and ultimately we feel that Good Morning America is going to produce a quality piece for you all to enjoy!
From behind the cameras and limelight, SCS was able to work with some of the best media talent in the motorsports industry. Photographer Garth Milan came out for the adventure and had a smile on his face the entire trip. I was able to help him out with a few shots and he has such a unique talent with photos and can see why he is so sought after in the motorsports arena. If you do not know, Garth is one of the main photographers that work directly with the AMA Supercross and Motocross circuits. Garth told us that this trip was one he was very excited about. At the end he stated: “this trip was one of my top three best trips/shoots he’s been on!” We at SCS love to hear those comments! Thanks Garth.
Red Bull also brought Scott McLaughlin aka Scotty Mac in to shoot HD video. Scott is a DP based out of Seattle and he has worked on some of the coolest projects you can imagine. Olympics; Travel Channel, Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations, NFL Football every Sunday……you name it Scott has done it. For a guy that has never even ridden a snowmobile he handled it all like a champ and was stoked on the bluebird day and how good the footage turned out. Thanks for the enthusiasm Scotty Mac!

All in all, the Good Morning America guys were more than happy with the footage they got and think that it will be a solid piece. It is slated to air on January 24th, 2010. So, we ask all of you loyal SCS, Red Bull, Heath Frisby and Levi Lavallee fans to tune in and watch those two showcasing their skills!!
We would also like to thank Jordan Miller for all of his help and for recommending SCS. Michael Milberger and John Goheen from ABC were awesome to work with and we hope that our paths cross in the future for more exciting things like this.
Kirk from HMK was a huge help with getting a quick order sent to Togwotee to outfit the guys for the shoot. Thank you so much Kirk, you have been a big help!! www.hmksnowmobiling.com
Jeff, Schuyler and all of the Togwotee staff were extremely accommodating and great to work with. Thank you all for your excellent amenities and sled equipment!!
Teton County Search and Rescue rode along with us for the shoot in case anything drastic happened but things turned out great and thankfully their expertise was not needed. Nevertheless, they were troopers for the day and we thank them very much for riding along with us!!
SCS could not have been more grateful to be involved with such a unique project and group of people. Then, to have it be a total success was just the icing on the cake!! Have a great winter and we hope you all tune in to ABC on January 24th for the backcountry segment and like what you see!!
Please make sure to check back with www.scsunltd.com for photos from master photographer Garth Milan but in the meantime here are some behind the scenes shots courtesy of Steve Miller!

It was a stone gas! SCS handled the details, lined us up with the fat gear and put us in the best possible position to ply our craft. It is easy to get caught up in the struggles of a new environment and lose track of your goals. SCS made the transition easy and I was able to really capture some awesome footage. Levi and Heath could not have been more cooperative. Thanks to the guys at SCS we not only got the righteous shots, we had a blast doing it! Thanks Steve and Tyler! I’ve been at this for 25 years, I have to agree with Garth, this was an all timer!
